Moving from iGoogle to Start.io for my Internet Dashboard

In a time of information overload, less is more is an appealing mantra. So when I heard about start.io on net@night, my interest was immediately piqued. It took me about 10 minutes to setup my dashboard. So far, I find it to be a fantastic, minimalist dashboard.

FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: Viral?

I usually ignore all of the FW: emails I receive, until recently, when a mentor whom I respect greatly, asked me to view his and give him some feedback so that he can discover what my sense of humor was like.

I began to notice that much of this content is the same stuff I’m seeing on Digg.com, with the latter appearing in blog format. This got me to thinking (serious) if seeding your blog post within a community of “FWerders”  (for lack of a better term) would cause a viral effect. Particularly if seed the content as often as you receive FW: emails.

How to Easily Pause Music on the iTouch When Locked Without Swiping

One thing that I miss from my iPod Classic is the easy ability to pause with just one click. It is a very useful feature if you want to quickly pause when someone is trying to talk to you. Unfortunately, without this tip on the iTouch, you would need to hit the home button, then unluck the iTouch with a swipe and then you can pause it with a single touch.

Choosing What To Do Next

With GTD, it is not uncommon to be faced with a list of 100+ next actions all within the same context, especially if most of your day is spent within a certain context (such as @computer). David Allen suggest that the context, time needed and energy required should be used to determine what to do next. But when your list is100+ items long, it can be a daunting proposition to actually make that choice over and over throughout a hectic day. Following are some techniques I have developed to help with this problem.

Here are the steps to Pimp Your Twitter page…. we’ll what are you waiting for? Get to pimping!

70 Interviews to Help You Build an Outstanding Internet Company

Andrew Warner of Mixergy.com has put together some incredible interviews with some amazing people with purpose of helping entreprenuers create better Internet companies. Amazingly, all of the interviews are free!

There was one issue I encountered that minimized my joy a tiny fraction at finding this treasure trove; 1) not enough time to listen to them all right now! and 2) no one place to go for an easy short list of all of the interviews (this is undoubtedly because Andrew is busy creating awesome interviews!)

In this post, I have created a list of all the interviews in a easy to browse format that takes you directly to the interview page for your convenience. On that interview page, Andrew has an introductory video, written summary of the interview, streaming audio and download link. Enjoy! I sure am.
